Group Counseling
The power of the group counseling session lies within the dynamic of the
group. Each member of the group brings with them a unique set of
perspectives and the group itself becomes a microcosm of the society it
reflects.
OCC offers a variety of groups at very reasonable rates in order to
facilitate this dynamic. Some of our offerings include:
Men's Groups - Dealing with men's issues, including stress in
the workplace, balancing work and home, anxiety, depression, aging and
health related issues.
Women's Groups - Dealing with women's issues, post-partum
depression, health issues and eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and
aging, stress at home and at the workplace, and balancing life.
Parenting Groups - These specific groups teach and develop
different approaches to effective parenting strategies.
Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Groups - Adolescent to
adult groups exploring ways to deal with stress, workplace, relationship
and lifestyle issues.
Premarital Counseling Groups - Providing strategies to learn a
variety of techniques helpful in maintaining a stable and lengthy
marriage. These are 3 session groups with an additional individual
session available throughout the first year of marriage.
Additional groups are added as need dictates.
